Sephardic [Arab Jews- not killed by Hitler] and Ashkenazi Jews[European-Russian Jews- killed by Hitler]

THE GOOD JEW AND THE BAD JEW ..... Excerpt from www.roseannebarr.com

In safed, 1999, is where I experienced for the first time in my life, a knowingness that eclipsed the physical world. There it was that I made contact with the mystics that I have studied since the age of nine years. When we went to the grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, it was on the anniversary of his death. To sephardic jews, that is when the connection to the departed's soul is most possible.
Sephardic Jews have very different traditions and culture and thoughts than do Ashkenazi jews. Ashkenazi jews are consumed with germanic principles and philosophies. When Hitler wrote that the soul of the aryan was up for grabs between the german and the jew, I think he was very accurate. When he decided to remove that option, by removing jews from the german presence, in order to tip the balance, he was hoping to seal the ultimate fate of the european gestalt as being german and pagan, not christian.
It is the german (jew) who after many years in power positions in Israel, is acceding power now to the russian (jews), who more sino-aryan in their cultural gestalt. However, it is the sephardic jew who has lived in peace for thousands of years with his arab neighbors, and he who is under represented in the government of Israel.
The history of the jews is extremely interesting when viewed as a racial division between arab jews and european/russian jews. Not one sephardic jew was killed by Hitler, because he considered them to be "real jews" and the german jew as a bastard german.
This fact is not seen by american jews at all. In Israel though, it is whispered about by the sephardic. The Kabbalah is sephardic. The Talmud is Ashkenazi. Jews are at war with jews over old books. Jews are at war with jews and muslims over old books, and jews are at war with christians over old books. Jews are the people who are at war with books. We need to call ourselves not people of the book, but people who are at war with books. In Rome, jews tried to have the kaballah burned and totally destroyed, in their war on it on behalf of the talmud. It was the pope who saved the kabballah. The jews brought the kaballah out of egypt, where Moses was a scholar of Hermetic Wisdom, which is what the kabballah is based on. Moses liberated the hidden esoteric philosophy and gave it to the common man, much as jesus did later on. Bar Yochai wrote the zohar, which he channelled, while hiding in a cave in safed. It is actually his story that makes up a large part of the story we recognize as being about Jesus. Safed is where the sephardic mystics have always lived. Jesus was one of these. He was an arab.
I must pause here to apologize to those who came here looking for Roseanne Barr. I can imagine your puzzlement to find me instead. Well, I always was like this, even though you are familiar with another part of me. I am Roseanne Barr, but yet I am also not her. I am the part of her that sneaked around her edges. I was she who is and is not yet, but is now she who became she who is.
It was in Safed that I was cured of my multiple personality disorder, also called Dissociative Identity Disorder. The part of me that would never stop believing that it spoke directly to god, was finally able to take total control of the body. It was not as the psychiatrists wanted, because it was that part that they called "crazy".
My doctor, Colin Ross, healed me by telling me that I did not have to let go of god, and that I should immediately begin to tell people not only that I spoke to her, but to tell them what exactly god was telling me. At that point in my life, there was no more division and there was no more obsession and there was no more compulsion, or fear of being found out and locked away any more.
For many people like myself, a profound connection to god is what kept us crazy and divided. My contribution to the field of study regarding this "mental illness" is to tell the story of my integration, and how it is for so many of us "multiples" that have indeed grown a new organ of consciousness that is actually quite useful to the human animal.
In trauma and dissociation, reality is suspended, and inventing several shape shifting identities is ultimately a way that the mind overcomes the limitations of time and space. When I knew that I did not any longer have to pretend that I did not speak to god, I was cured.

Land of Israel

Excerpts From The Holy Qur'an

Chapter 17

Sura Al-Isra

Verses 93-111

Say (O Muhammad): My Lord be glorified! Am I aught save a mortal messenger? (93)

And naught prevented mankind from believing when the guidance came unto them save that they said: Hath Allah sent a mortal as (His) messenger? (94)

Say: If there were in the earth angels walking secure, We had sent down for them from heaven an angel as messenger. (95)

Say: Allah sufficeth for a witness between me and you. Lo! He is Knower, Seer of His slaves. (96)

And he whom Allah guideth, he is led aright; while, as for him whom He sendeth astray, for them thou wilt find no protecting friends beside Him, and We shall assemble them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf; their habitation will be hell; whenever it abateth, We increase the flame for them. (97)

That is their reward because they disbelieved Our revelations and said: When we are bones and fragments shall we, forsooth, be raised up as a new creation? (98)

Have they not seen that Allah Who created the heavens and the earth is Able to create the like of them, and hath appointed for them an end whereof there is no doubt? But the wrong-doers refuse aught save disbelief. (99)

Say (unto them): If ye possessed the treasures of the mercy of my Lord, ye would surely hold them back for fear of spending, for man was ever grudging. (100)

And verily We gave unto Moses nine tokens, clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Do but ask the Children of Israel how he came unto them, then Pharaoh said unto him: Lo! I deem thee one bewitched, O Moses. (101)

He said: In truth thou knowest that none sent down these (portents) save the Lord of the heavens and the earth as proofs, and lo! (for my part) I deem thee lost, O Pharaoh. (102)

And he wished to scare them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him, all together. (103)

And We said unto the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land; but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations. (104)

With truth have We sent it down, and with truth hath it descended. And We have sent thee as naught else save a bearer of good tidings and a warner. (105)

And (it is) a Qur'an that We have divided, that thou mayst recite it unto mankind at intervals, and We have revealed it by (successive) revelation. (106)

Say: Believe therein or believe not, lo! those who were given knowledge before it, when it is read unto them, fall down prostrate on their faces, adoring, (107)

Saying: Glory to our Lord! Verily the promise of our Lord must be fulfilled. (108)

They fall down on their faces, weeping, and it increaseth humility in them. (109)

Say (unto mankind): Cry unto Allah, or cry unto the Beneficent, unto whichsoever ye cry (it is the same). His are the most beautiful names. And thou (Muhammad), be not loud-voiced in thy worship nor yet silent therein, but follow a way between. (110)

And say: Praise be to Allah, Who hath not taken unto Himself a son, and Who hath no partner in the Sovereignty, nor hath He any protecting friend through dependence. And magnify Him with all magnificence. (111)

Faith News and Politics 03212008 "Campaign Strategy"

Campaign Strategy

Barack into going to Iraq and Afghanistan to initiate developing worldwide relations.

Start putting some meat on "changing the world".
Get the media's attention off of Pastor Wright in a big way.
Let Barack lay the ground work now!
Barack go to Iran too to do a mini meeting with President Ahmedenajad, in a non-official capacity, kind of a first interview to get to know each other, which would be difficult to do in an official capacity later.
No negotiations on behalf of the U.S.A just to feel him out beforehand.

Take the campaign worldwide. McCain is doing it already!!!!! The country does fine when the President goes globetrotting, Barack's Campaign is likely to do fine while he is away. Compete on that front with McCain now. McCain is showing that he cares Foreign Leaders are not likely to forget that.

BARACK touch base with countries the USA is NOT willing to meet with.
Can best do that now in an unofficial capacity like McCain is doing now for friendly countries.
Put some meat on that bone too. Now may be the best time to do it, before the PA primary.

I take offense when Barack does not say "God Bless America" or "God Bless you" at the end of his speeches.
Start signature sign off for his speeches.
"Praise be to God" or "Hallelujah" meaning the same thing, is my personal preference.

There is no winning without God as Pharaoh found to his cost. Get Barack to mention God at least once in his speeches to beautify them, Godwilling.

Tell him to mention the Native Americans as a part of the United America.

"Typical White Person"

Let's stop behaving like rednecks on National TV
Let's show some class!!!!!
Barack Obama is not black he is fully half white

The head is at the top of the human body not somewhere half way down
Let's stop behaving like it was
God put everything in it's proper place
Our mouths don't belong somewhere half way down there either
Words of wisdom for 'Monica Lewinsky' followers

We are supposed to follow Jesus son of Mary Prophet of God

God's Design is Perfect
Let's use our human resource like The Creator intended
We are supposed to use our heads to think with
Not something half way down

Leave Barack Obama alone
Stop trying to destroy his campaign

God is not unjust
He Does not put one person's blame on another
We shouldn't either
For He Created us in His Own image

We are supposed to defend the good old USA from enemies foreign AND domestic
What kind of American Patriot are you if you don't know that
That Osama Bin Laden is foreign is quite clear
Are you a domestic Osama Bin Laden
Bent on destroying this country from within

Richardson isn't endorsing Obama for nothing
AFTER this "Typical White Person" thing
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you
Barack said what he said with his spirit and intent
At least ask the man what he meant

BEFORE you start your spin machine
Respect yourself more than
For just getting a check
For saying what is against your own true self
Just because you are having a slow news day
If that is the case
Then get another job as soon
As you get off the air

Take another look at Obama
Like you care for this country
More than the color of skin
Anyway Obama is NOT black he is fully half white
If anything you can call him Mr. United
A potential 'United' President of The United States
That sounds pretty cool
Don't just keep playing the fool
From your Newsroom Pulpit
Whether at CNN or at FOXNEWS

Barack is not 'black' he is fully half white.
Leave the man alone and
Don't keep trying to put words in his mouth.

Now Take The "Typical White Person" Test

I am a typical white person
I know exactly what Barack means.
Let's not behave like mindless yahoos.

To find out if you are a typical white person
Go walk in a black neighborhood on your own to see
If some any fear strikes thee
Then go walk in a white neighborhood and see
If the level of fear is the same

If there are different levels of fear in you
In the two different neighborhoods
You may be a "Typical White Person"

Do you feel lucky?
Go walk in a black neighborhood
Walk the talk
Before you decide if indeed
You are a "Typical White Person"

Now spin this all you want!!!!!

Bill O'Reilly seems like the one
Who has the most sense on FOXNEWS
And some fairness too
Brit is okay too
Chris wallace has the guts to express his views

Slow down Hemmer
The doc was not
Trying to get you a boob job
He was just trying to suggest I think
That you were well off

Say to my servants that they should only say those things which are best ........ IS From God
Let's keep that in our minds
Which By God's Design He Placed way at the top

Miracles of Islam

Holy Qur'an Chapter 24

DAY 24

Chapter 24

Sura Al-Noor

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(Here is) a surah which We have revealed and enjoined, and wherein We have revealed plain tokens, that haply ye may take heed. (1) The adulterer and the adulteress, scourge ye each one of them (with) a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the twain withhold you from obedience to Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment. (2) The adulterer shall not marry save an adulteress or an idolatress, and the adulteress none shall marry save an adulterer or an idolater. All that is forbidden unto believers. (3) And those who accuse honourable women but bring not four witnesses, scourge them (with) eighty stripes and never (afterward) accept their testimony - They indeed are evil-doers - (4) Save those who afterward repent and make amends. (For such) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (5) As for those who accuse their wives but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies, (swearing) by Allah that he is of those who speak the truth; (6) And yet a fifth, invoking the curse of Allah on him if he is of those who lie. (7) And it shall avert the punishment from her if she bear witness before Allah four times that the thing he saith is indeed false, (8) And a fifth (time) that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he speaketh truth. (9) And had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, and that Allah is Clement, Wise, (ye had been undone). (10) Lo! they who spread the slander are a gang among you. Deem it not a bad thing for you; nay, it is good for you. Unto every man of them (will be paid) that which he hath earned of the sin; and as for him among them who had the greater share therein, his will be an awful doom. (11) Why did not the believers, men and women, when ye heard it, think good of their own own folk, and say: It is a manifest untruth? (12) Why did they not produce four witnesses? Since they produce not witnesses, they verily are liars in the sight of Allah. (13) Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you in the world and the Hereafter an awful doom had overtaken you for that whereof ye murmured. (14) When ye welcomed it with your tongues, and uttered with your mouths that whereof ye had no knowledge, ye counted it a trifle. In the sight of Allah it is very great. (15) Wherefor, when ye heard it, said ye not: It is not for us to speak of this. Glory be to Thee (O Allah)! This is awful calumny. (16) Allah admonisheth you that ye repeat not the like thereof ever, if ye are (in truth) believers. (17) And He expoundeth unto you the revelations. Allah is Knower, Wise. (18) Lo! those who love that slander should be spread concerning those who believe, theirs will be a painful punishment in the world and the Hereafter. Allah knoweth. Ye know not. (19) Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, and that Allah is Clement, Merciful, (ye had been undone). (20) O ye who believe! Follow not the footsteps of the devil. Unto whomsoever followeth the footsteps of the devil, lo! he commandeth filthiness and wrong. Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, not one of you would ever have grown pure. But Allah causeth whom He will to grow. And Allah is Hearer, Knower. (21) And let not those who possess dignity and ease among you swear not to give to the near of kin and to the needy, and to fugitives for the cause of Allah. Let them forgive and show indulgence. Yearn ye not that Allah may forgive you? Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (22) Lo! as for those who traduce virtuous, believing women (who are) careless, cursed are they in the world and the Hereafter. Theirs will be an awful doom (23) On the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet testify against them as to what they used to do, (24) On that day Allah will pay them their just due, and they will know that Allah, He is the Manifest Truth. (25) Vile women are for vile men, and vile men for vile women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women; such are innocent of that which people say: For them is pardon and a bountiful provision. (26) O ye who believe! Enter not houses other than your own without first announcing your presence and invoking peace upon the folk thereof. That is better for you, that ye may be heedful. (27) And if ye find no-one therein, still enter not until permission hath been given. And if it be said unto you: Go back, then go back, for it is purer for you. Allah knoweth what ye do. (28) (It is) no sin for you to enter uninhabited houses wherein is comfort for you. Allah knoweth what ye proclaim and what ye hide. (29) Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do. (30) And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed. (31) And marry such of you as are solitary and the pious of your slaves and maid-servants. If they be poor, Allah will enrich them of His bounty. Allah is of ample means, Aware. (32) And let those who cannot find a match keep chaste till Allah give them independence by His grace. And such of your slaves as seek a writing (of emancipation), write it for them if ye are aware of aught of good in them, and bestow upon them of the wealth of Allah which He hath bestowed upon you. Force not your slave-girls to whoredom that ye may seek enjoyment of the life of the world, if they would preserve their chastity. And if one force them, then (unto them), after their compulsion, lo! Allah will be Forgiving, Merciful. (33) And verily We have sent down for you revelations that make plain, and the example of those who passed away before you. An admonition unto those who ward off (evil). (34) Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. Allah guideth unto His light whom He will. And Allah setteth forth for mankind similitudes, for Allah is Knower of all things. (35) (This lamp is found) in houses which Allah hath allowed to be exalted and that His name shall be remembered therein. Therein do offer praise to Him at morn and evening. (36) Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguileth from remembrance of Allah and constancy in prayer and paying to the poor their due; who fear a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned; (37) That Allah may reward them with the best of what they did, and increase reward for them of His bounty. Allah giveth blessings without stint to whom He will. (38) As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one supposeth it to be water till he cometh unto it and findeth it naught, and findeth, in the place thereof, Allah Who payeth him his due; and Allah is swift at reckoning. (39) Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light. (40) Hast thou not seen that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight? Of each He knoweth verily the its worship and the its praise; and Allah is Aware of what they do. (41) And unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and unto Allah is the journeying. (42) Hast thou not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathereth them, then maketh them layers, and thou seest the rain come forth from between them; He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, and smiteth therewith whom He will, and averteth it from whom He will. The flashing of His lightning all but snatcheth away the sight. (43) Allah causeth the revolution of the day and the night. Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for those who see. (44) Allah hath created every animal of water. Of them is (a kind) that goeth upon its belly and (a kind) that goeth upon two legs and (a kind) that goeth upon four. Allah createth what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. (45) Verily We have sent down revelations and explained them. Allah guideth whom He will unto a straight path. (46) And they say: We believe in Allah and the messenger, and we obey; then after that a faction of them turn away. Such are not believers. (47) And when they appeal unto Allah and His messenger to judge between them, lo! a faction of them are averse; (48) But if right had been with them they would have come unto him willingly. (49) Is there in their hearts a disease, or have they doubts, or fear they lest Allah and His messenger should wrong them in judgment? Nay, but such are evil-doers. (50) The saying of (all true) believers when they are called unto Allah and His messenger to judge between them is only that they say: We hear and we obey. And such are the successful. (51) He who obeyeth Allah and His messenger, and feareth Allah, and keepeth duty (unto Him): such indeed are the victorious. (52) They swear by Allah solemnly that, if thou order them, they will go forth. Say: Swear not; known obedience (is better). Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do. (53) Say: Obey Allah and obey the messenger. But if ye turn away, then (it is) for him (to do) only that wherewith he hath been charged, and for you (to do) only that wherewith ye have been charged. If ye obey him, ye will go aright. But the messenger hath no other charge than to convey (the message) plainly. (54) Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants. (55) Establish worship and pay the poor-due and obey the messenger, that haply ye may find mercy. (56) Think not that the disbelievers can escape in the land. Fire will be their home - a hapless journey's end! (57) O ye who believe! Let your slaves, and those of you who have not come to puberty, ask leave of you at three times (before they come into your presence): Before the prayer of dawn, and when ye lay aside your raiment for the heat of noon, and after the prayer of night. Three times of privacy for you. It is no sin for them or for you at other times, when some of you go round attendant upon others (if they come into your presence without leave). Thus Allah maketh clear the revelations for you. Allah is Knower, Wise. (58) And when the children among you come to puberty then let them ask leave even as those before them used to ask it. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations for you. Allah is Knower, Wise. (59) As for women past child-bearing, who have no hope of marriage, it is no sin for them if they discard their (outer) clothing in such a way as not to show adornment. But to refrain is better for them. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (60) No blame is there upon the blind nor any blame upon the lame nor any blame upon the sick nor on yourselves if ye eat from your houses, or the houses of your fathers, or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your fathers' brothers, or the houses of your fathers' sisters, or the houses of your mothers' brothers, or the houses of your mothers' sisters, or (from that) whereof ye hold the keys, or (from the house) of a friend. No sin shall it be for you whether ye eat together or apart. But when ye enter houses, salute one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and sweet. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations for you, that haply ye may understand. (61) They only are the true believers who believe in Allah and His messenger and, when they are with him on some common errand, go not away until they have asked leave of him. Lo! those who ask leave of thee, those are they who believe in Allah and His messenger. So, if they ask thy leave for some affair of theirs, give leave to whom thou wilt of them, and ask for them forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (62) Make not the calling of the messenger among you as your calling one of another. Allah knoweth those of you who steal away, hiding themselves. And let those who conspire to evade orders beware lest grief or painful punishment befall them. (63) Lo! verily unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. He knoweth your condition. And (He knoweth) the Day when they are returned unto Him so that He may inform them of what they did. Allah is Knower of all things. (64)

Holy Qur'an Chapter 23

Al-Mumenoon
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The Believers must (eventually) win through (1) Those who humble themselves in their prayers; (2) Who avoid vain talk; (3) Who are active in deeds of charity; (4) Who abstain from sex, (5) Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess― for (in their case) they are free from blame, (6) But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors― (7) Those who faithfully observe their Trusts and their covenants; (8) And who (strictly) guard their prayers (9) Those will be the heirs (10) Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (forever). (11) Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); (12) Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest firmly fixed; (13) Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of it another creature: so blessed be Allah, the Best to create! (14) After that at length ye will die. (15) Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. (16) And We have made, above you seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (Our) Creation. (17) And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). (18) With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment)― (19) Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. (20) And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them (besides) numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; (21) And on them, as well as in ships ye ride. (22) (Further We sent a long line of prophets for your instruction.). We sent Noah to his people: he said "O my people! worship Allah! Ye have no other god but Him: will ye not fear (Him)?" (23) The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels: never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old." (24) (And some said:) "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time." (25) (Noah) said: "O my Lord! Help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood!" (26) So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our command and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family― except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: and address Me not in favour of the wrongdoers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood). (27) And when thou hast embarked on the Ark thou and those with thee― say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who do wrong." (28) And say: "O my Lord! Enable me to disembark with Thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark." (29) Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men). (30) Then We raised after them another generation; (31) And We sent to them an messenger from among themselves, (saying) "Worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?" (32) And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves; he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. (33) "If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold it is certain ye will be lost. (34) "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)? (35) "Far, very far is that which ye are promised! (36) "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again! (37) "He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!" (38) (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! Help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." (39) (Allah) said: "In but a little while they are sure to be sorry!" (40) Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! (41) Then We raised after them other generations. (42) No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it). (43) Then sent We Our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): so away with a people that will not believe! (44) Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest (45) To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: but these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people. (46) They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" (47) So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed. (48) And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance. (49) And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. (50) O ye messengers! Enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. (51) And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). (52) But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. (53) But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. (54) Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons (55) We would hasten them on in every good? Nay they do not understand. (56) Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; (57) Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; (58) Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; (59) And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord― (60) It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. (61) On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. (62) But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do (63) Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold they will groan in supplication! (64) (It will be said:) "Groan not in supplication this day; for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. (65) "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you but ye used to turn back on your heels (66) "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." (67) Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? (68) Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? (69) Or do they say "He is possessed"? Nay he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. (70) If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. (71) Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. (72) But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; (73) And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. (74) If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. (75) We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!― (76) Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! (77) It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling, and understanding: little thanks it is ye give! (78) And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. (79) It is He Who gives life and death and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? (80) On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. (81) They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? (82) "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! They are nothing but tales of the ancients!" (83) Say: "To whom belongs the earth and all beings therein? (Say) if ye know!" (84) They will say "To Allah!" Say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?" (85) Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" (86) They will say "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" (87) Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things who protects (all) but is not protected (of any)? (Say) if ye know." (88) They will say "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" (89) We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise Falsehood! (90) No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! (91) He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! (92) Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against― (93) "Then O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" (94) And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. (95) Repel evil with that which is best: We are well-acquainted with the things they say. (96) And say: "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones; (97) "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." (98) (In Falsehood will they be) until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life)― (99) "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected."― "By no means! it is but a word he says Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. (100) Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that day, nor will one ask after another! (101) Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy― they will attain salvation: (102) But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls; in Hell will they abide. (103) The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. (104) "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehoods?" (105) They will say: "Our Lord! our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! (106) "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to evil), then shall we be wrongdoers indeed!" (107) He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! and speak ye not to Me! (108) "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray, `Our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: for Thou art the Best of those Who show mercy!' (109) "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! (110) "I have rewarded them this day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." (111) He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" (112) They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." (113) He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little― if ye had only known! (114) "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" (115) Therefore exalted be Allah, the King the Reality; there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! (116) If anyone invokes, besides Allah any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! And verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! (117) So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy! for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" (118)

Holy Qur'an Chapter 22

Al-Hajj
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

O mankind! fear your Lord! For the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible! (1) The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah. (2) And yet among men there are such as dispute about Allah, without knowledge, and follow every evil one obstinate in rebellion! (3) About the (Evil One) it is decreed that whoever turns to him for friendship, him will he lead astray, and he will guide him to the Penalty of the Fire. (4) O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm then out of a leech-like clot, then out a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (Our Power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much). And (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs). (5) This is so, because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who has power over all things. (6) And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves. (7) Yet there is among men such a one as disputes about Allah, without knowledge, without guidance, and without a Book of Enlightenment― (8) (Disdainfully) bending his side, in order to (lead men) astray from the Path of Allah; for him there is disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Judgment we shall make him taste the Penalty of burning (Fire). (9) (It will be said): "This is because of the deeds which thy hands sent forth, for verily Allah is not unjust to His servants. (10) There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see! (11) They call on such deities besides Allah, as can neither hurt nor profit them: that is straying far indeed (from the Way)! (12) (Perhaps) they call on one whose hurt is nearer than his profit: evil, indeed, is the patron, and evil the companion (for help)! (13) Verily Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens, beneath which rivers flow: for Allah carries out all that He plans. (14) If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)! (15) Thus have We sent down Clear Signs; and verily Allah doth guide whom He will! (16) Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,― Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for Allah is witness of all things. (17) Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth― the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace none can rise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills. (18) These two antagonists dispute with each other about their Lord: but those who deny (their Lord)― for them will be cut out a garment of Fire: over their heads will be poured out boiling water. (19) With it will be scalded what is within their bodies, as well as (their) skins. (20) In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them. (21) Every time they wish to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be forced back therein, and (it will be said), "Taste ye the Penalty of Burning!" (22) Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds To Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk. (23) For they have been guided (in this life) to the purest of speeches; they have been guided to the Path of Him Who is worthy of (all) praise. (24) As to those who have rejected (Allah) and would keep back (men) from the Way of Allah, and from the Sacred Mosque, which We have made (open) to (all) men― equal is the dweller there and the visitor from the country― and any whose purpose therein is profanity wrong-doing― them will We cause to taste of a most grievous Penalty. (25) Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House (saying): "Associate not any thing (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up or bow or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). (26) "And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways; (27) "That they may witness the benefits (provided) for them, and celebrate the name of Allah, through the Days appointed over the cattle which He has provided for them (for sacrifice): then eat ye thereof and feed the distressed ones in want. (28) "Then let them complete the rites prescribed for them, perform their vows, and (again) circumambulate the Ancient House." (29) Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exceptions): so shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false― (30) Being true in faith to Allah and never assigning partners to Him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah he is as if he had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its prey) and thrown him into a far-distant place. (31) Such (is his state): and whoever holds in honour the Symbols of Allah, (in the sacrifice of animals), such (honour) should come truly from piety of heart. (32) In them ye have benefits for a term appointed: in the end their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House. (33) To every people did We appoint rites (of sacrifice), that they might celebrate the name of Allah over the sustenance He gave them from animals (fit for food) but your God is one God: submit then your wills to Him (in Islam) and give thou the Good News to those who humble themselves― (34) To those whose hearts, when Allah is mentioned, are filled with fear, who show patient perseverance over their afflictions, keep up regular prayer, and spend (in charity) out of what we have bestowed upon them. (35) The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the Symbols from Allah: in them is (much) good for you: then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for sacrifice): when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof, and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility: thus have we made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful. (36) It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His guidance to you: and proclaim the Good News to all who do right. (37) Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe: verily, Allah loveth not any that is a traitor to faith or shows ingratitude. (38) To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight) because they are wronged― and verily, Allah is Most powerful for their aid (39) (They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right― (for no cause) except that they say "Our Lord is Allah." Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid His (cause); for verily Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (Able to enforce His Will). (40) (They are) those who, if We establish them in the land, establish regular prayer and give regular charity, enjoin the right and forbid wrong: with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all) affairs. (41) If they treat thy (mission) as false so did the Peoples before them (with their prophets), the People of Noah, and `Ad and Thamud; (42) Those of Abraham and Lut; (43) And the Companions of the Madyan people: and Moses was rejected (in the same way). But I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and (only) after that did I punish them: but how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! (44) How many populations have We destroyed, which were given to wrong-doing? They tumbled down on their roofs. And how many wells are lying idle and neglected, and castles lofty and well-built? (45) Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and mind) may thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts. (46) Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. (47) And to how many populations did I give respite, which were given to wrong-doing? In the end I punished them. To Me is the destination (of all). (48) Say: "O men! I am (sent) to you only to give a clear warning: (49) "Those who believe and work righteousness, for them is forgiveness and a sustenance most generous. (50) "But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them they will be Companions of the Fire." (51) Never did We send an messenger or a prophet before thee but when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but Allah will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and Allah will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom: (52) That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrongdoers are in a schism far (from the Truth): (53) And that those on whom knowledge has been bestowed may learn that the (Qur'an) is the Truth from thy Lord, and that they may believe therein, and their hearts may be made humbly (open) to it: for verily Allah is the Guide of those who believe to the Straight Way. (54) Those who reject Faith will not cease to be in doubt concerning (Revelation) until the Hour (of Judgment) comes suddenly, upon them or there comes to them the Penalty of a Day of Disaster. (55) On that Day the Dominion will be that of Allah: He will judge between them: so those who believe and work righteous deeds will be in Gardens of Delight. (56) And for those who reject Faith and deny Our Signs, there will be a humiliating Punishment. (57) Those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, and are then slain or die― on them will Allah bestow, verily a goodly Provision: truly Allah is He Who bestows the best Provision. (58) Verily He will admit them to a place with which they shall be well pleased: for Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing. (59) That (is so). And if one has retaliated to no greater extent than the injury he received and is again set upon inordinately, Allah will help him: for Allah is One that blots out (sins) and forgives (again and again). (60) That is because Allah merges Night into Day and He merges Day into Night, and verily it is Allah Who hears and sees (all things). (61) That is because Allah― He is the Reality: and those besides Him whom they invoke they are but vain Falsehood: verily Allah is He, Most High Most Great. (62) Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and forthwith the earth becomes clothed with green? For Allah is He Who understands the finest mysteries, and is well-acquainted (with them). (63) To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: for verily Allah― He is Free of all wants, Worthy of all praise. (64) Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His command? He withholds the sky (rain) from falling on the earth except by His leave: for Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to man. (65) It is He Who gave you life, will cause you to die, and will again give you life: truly man is a most ungrateful creature! (66) To every People have we appointed rites and ceremonies which they must follow: let them not then dispute with thee on the matter, but do thou invite (them) to thy Lord: for thou art assuredly on the Right Way. (67) If they do wrangle with thee, say "Allah knows best what it is ye are doing." (68) "Allah will judge between you on the Day of Judgment concerning the matters in which ye differ." (69) Knowest thou not that Allah knows all that is in heaven and on earth? Indeed it is all in a record and that is easy for Allah. (70) Yet they worship, besides Allah, things for which no authority has been sent down to them, and of which they have (really) no knowledge: for those that do wrong there is no helper. (71) When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, thou wilt notice a denial on the faces of the Unbelievers! They nearly attack with violence those who rehearse Our Signs to them. Say "Shall I tell you of something (far) worse than these Signs? It is the Fire (of Hell)! Allah has promised it to the Unbelievers! And evil is that destination!" (72) O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom besides Allah, ye call cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly: feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! (73) No just estimate have they made of Allah: for Allah is He Who is strong and able to carry out His Will. (74) Allah chooses Messengers from angels and from men: for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things). (75) He knows what is before them and what is behind them: and to Allah go back all questions (for decision). (76) O ye who believe! Bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper. (77) And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline): He has chosen you and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector― the― Best to protect and the Best to help! (78)

Holy Qur'an Chapter 21

Al-Anbiya
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Closer and closer to mankind comes their Reckoning: yet they heed not and they turn away. (1) Never comes (aught) to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest― (2) Their hearts toying as with trifles. The wrongdoers conceal their private counsels, (saying) "Is this (one) more than a man like yourselves? Will ye go to witchcraft with your eyes open?" (3) Say: "My Lord knoweth (every) word (spoken) in the heavens, and on earth: He is the One that heareth and knoweth (all things)." (4) "Nay" they say "(these are) medleys of dreams! Nay, he forged it!--Nay, he is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (prophets) of old!" (5) (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe? (6) Before thee, also the messengers we sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye know this not, ask of those who possess the Message. (7) Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. (8) In the end We fulfilled to them Our promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds. (9) We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand? (10) How many were the populations we utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples! (11) Yet, when they felt Our Punishment (coming), behold they (tried to) flee from it. (12) Flee not, but return to the good things of this life which were given you, and to your homes, in order that ye may be called to account. (13) They said: "Ah! woe to us! We were indeed wrong―doers!" (14) And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is mown, as ashes silent and quenched. (15) Not for (idle) sport did We create the heavens and the earth and all that is between! (16) If it had been Our wish to take (just) a pastime, We should surely have taken it from the things nearest to Us, if We would do (such a thing)! (17) Nay, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, and it knocks out its brain, and behold falsehood doth perish! Ah! woe be to you for the (false) things ye ascribe (to Us). (18) To Him belongs all (creatures) in the heavens and on earth: even those who are in His (very) Presence are not too proud to serve Him, nor are they (ever) weary (of His service): (19) They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit. (20) Or have they taken (for worship) gods from the earth who can raise (the dead)? (21) If there were in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been ruin in both! But glory to Allah the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him! (22) He cannot be questioned for His acts, but they will be questioned (for theirs). (23) Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides Him? Say "Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth and so turn away. (24) Not a messenger did We send before thee without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me. (25) And they say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are (but) servants raised to honour. (26) They speak not before He speaks, and they act (in all things) by His command. (27) He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His (glory). (28) If any of them should say "I am a god besides Him" such a one We should reward with Hell: thus do We reward those who do wrong. (29) Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (30) And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive guidance. (31) And We have made the heavens as a canopy well-guarded: Yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)! (32) It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along each in its rounded course. (33) We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die would they live permanently? (34) Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial: to Us must ye return. (35) When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this" (they say) "The one who talks of your gods?" And they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! (36) Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs: then ye will not ask Me to hasten them! (37) They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?" (38) If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them! (39) Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite. (40) Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked. (41) Say "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of Allah) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord. (42) Or have they gods that can guard them from Us? They have no power to aid themselves, nor can they be defended from Us. (43) Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; see they not that we gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win? (44) Say "I do but warn you according to revelation": but the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned! (45) If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them they will then say "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!" (46) We shall set up scales of justice for the day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least. And if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. (47) In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the Criterion (for judgment) and a Light and a Message for those who would do right― (48) Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the Hour (of Judgment) in awe. (49) And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it? (50) We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him. (51) Behold! He said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" (52) They said "We found our father worshipping them." (53) He said "Indeed ye have been in manifest error-ye and your fathers." (54) They said "Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who jest?" (55) He said "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (truth). (56) And by Allah, I have a plan for your idols― after ye go away and turn your backs"… (57) So he broke them to pieces, (all) but the biggest of them, that they might turn (and address themselves) to it. (58) They said "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!" (59) They said "We heard a youth talk of them: he is called Abraham." (60) They said "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may bear witness:" (61) They said "Art thou the one that did this with our gods, O Abraham?" (62) He said: "Nay, this was done by this is their is their biggest one! Ask them, if they can speak intelligently!" (63) So they turned to themselves and said "Surely ye are the ones in the wrong!" (64) Then were they confounded with shame: (they said) "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!" (65) (Abraham) said "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? (66) "Fie upon you and upon the things that ye worship besides Allah! have ye no sense?"... (67) They said "Burn him and protect your gods if ye do (anything at all)!" (68) We said "O Fire! Be thou cool, and (a means of)) safety for Abraham!" (69) Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most! (70) But We delivered him and (his nephew) Lut (and directed them) to the land which We have blessed for the nations. (71) And We bestowed on him Isaac and as, an additional gift, (a grandson) Jacob, and We made righteous men of every one (of them). (72) And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practise regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only). (73) And to Lut, too, we gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people. (74) And We admitted him to Our Mercy: for he was one of the Righteous. (75) (Remember) Noah when he cried (to Us) aforetime: We listened to his (prayer) and delivered him and his family from great distress. (76) We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together. (77) And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment. (78) To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises with David: it was We Who did (these things). (79) It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each others violence: will ye then be grateful? (80) (It was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to his order, to the land which We had blessed: for We do know all things. (81) And of the evil ones were some who dived for him, and did other work besides; and it was We Who guarded them. (82) And (remember) Job, when he cried to his Lord "Truly distress has seized me But Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." (83) So We listened to him: We removed the distress that was on him and We restored his people to him and doubled their number― as a Grace from Ourselves and a thing for commemoration, for all who serve Us. (84) And (remember) Ismail, Idris and Dhu al Kifl, all (men) of constancy and patience; (85) We admitted them to Our Mercy: for they were of the Righteous ones. (86) And remember Dhu al Nun, when he departed in wrath: he imagined that We had no power over him! but he cried through the depths of darkness "There is no god but Thou: Glory to Thee: I was indeed wrong!" (87) So We listened to him: and delivered him from distress: and thus do We deliver those who have faith. (88) And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though Thou art the best of inheritors. (89) So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works: they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us. (90) And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our Spirit, and We made her and her son a Sign for all peoples. (91) Verily, this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other). (92) But (later generations) cut off their affair (of unity), one from another: (yet) will they all return to Us. (93) Whoever works any act of righteousness and has Faith― his endeavour will not be rejected: We shall record it in his favour. (94) But there is a ban on any population which We have destroyed: that they shall not return. (95) Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every hill. (96) Then will the True Promise draw nigh (of fulfillment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay we truly did wrong!" (97) Verily ye, (Unbelievers) and the (false) gods that ye worship besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! To it will ye (surely) come! (98) If these had been gods they would not have got there! But each one will abide therein. (99) There, sobbing will be their lot nor will they there hear (aught else). (100) Those for whom the Good (Record) from Us has gone before, will be removed far therefrom. (101) Not the slightest sound will they hear of Hell: what their souls desired, in that will they dwell. (102) The Great Terror will bring them no grief: but the angels will meet them (with mutual greetings): "This is your Day― (the Day) that ye were promised." (103) The Day that we roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed)― even as We produced the first Creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (104) Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants, the Righteous shall inherit the earth." (105) Verily in the (Qur'an) is a Message for people who would (truly) worship Allah. (106) We sent thee not, but as a mercy for all creatures. (107) Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your God is One God: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?" (108) But if they turn back say: "I have proclaimed the Message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far. (109) "It is He Who knows what is open in speech and what ye hide (in your hearts). (110) "I know not but that it may be a trial for you, and a grant of (worldly) livelihood (to you) for a time. (111) Say: "O my Lord! judge Thou in truth!" "Our Lord Most Gracious is the One Whose assistance should be sought against the blasphemies ye utter!" (112)

Holy Qur'an Chapter 21

Ta-Ha
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ta Ha. (1) We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress (2) But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah)― (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. (4) (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the Throne (of authority). (5) To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. (6) If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. (7) Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. (8) Has the story of Moses reached thee? (9) Behold, he saw a fire: so he said to his family "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom or find some guidance at the fire." (10) But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! Therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) "I have chosen thee: listen then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). (13) "Verily I am Allah: there is no god but I: so serve thou Me, (only) and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. (14) "Verily the Hour is coming― My design is to keep it hidden― for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. (15) "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!" (16) And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses?" (17) He said "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." (18) (Allah) said "Throw it, O Moses!" (19) He threw it, and behold! it was a snake, active in motion. (20) (Allah) said "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition"… (21) Now draw thy hand close to thy side: it shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain)― as another Sign (22) "In order that We may show thee (two) of Our Greater Signs. (23) "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he had indeed transgressed all bounds." (24) (Moses) said: "O my Lord! Expand me my breast;" (25) "Ease my task for me; (26) "And remove the impediment from my speech. (27) "So they may understand what I say: (28) "And give me a Minister from my family, (29) "Aaron, my brother; (30) "Add to my strength through him, (31) "And make him share My task: (32) "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, (33) "And remember Thee without stint: (34) For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." (35) (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" (36) "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). (37) "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration the message: (38) " `Throw (the child) into the chest and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': but I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. (39) "Behold! Thy sister goeth forth and saith, `Shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tired thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! (40) "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)"... (41) "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not either, of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. (42) "Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; (43) "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." (44) They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! we fear lest He hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." (45) He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). (46) "So go ye both to him, and say `Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! And peace to all who follow Guidance! (47) " `Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.' " (48) (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" (49) He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further gave (it) guidance." (50) (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" (51) He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets (52) "He Who has made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced divers pairs of plants each separate from the others. (53) Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. (54) From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again. (55) And We showed Pharaoh all Our Signs, but he did reject and refuse. (56) He said: "Hast thou come to drive us out of our land with thy magic O Moses? (57) "But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep― neither we nor thou― in a place where both shall have even chances." (58) Moses said: "Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up." (59) So Pharaoh withdrew: he concerted his plan, and then came (back). (60) Moses said to them: "Woe to you! forge not ye a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you (at once) utterly by chastisement: the forger must suffer frustration!" (61) So they disputed, one with another, over their affair, but they kept their talk secret. (62) They said: "These two are certainly (expert) magicians: their object is to drive you out from your land with their magic, and to do away with your Most cherished institutions. (63) "Therefore concert your plan, And then assemble in (serried) ranks: he wins (all along) today who gains the upper hand." (64) They said: "O Moses! whether wilt thou that thou throw (first) or that we be the first to throw?" (65) He said "Nay throw ye first!" Then behold their ropes and their rods― so it seemed to him on account of their magic― began to be in lively motion! (66) So Moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear. (67) We said: "Fear not! For thou hast indeed the upper hand: (68) "Throw that which is in thy right hand: quickly will it swallow up that which they have faked. What they have faked is but a magician's trick: and the magician thrives not, (no matter) where he goes." (69) So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses." (70) (Pharaoh) said: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you magic! Be sure I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm-trees: So shall ye know for certain, which of us can give the more severe and the more lasting Punishment!" (71) They said: "Never shall we regard thee as more than the Clear Signs that have come to us or than Him Who created us! So decree whatever thou desirest to decree: for thou canst only decree (touching) the life of this world. (72) For us we have believed in our Lord: may He forgive us our faults, and the magic to which thou didst compel us: for Allah is Best and Most Abiding." (73) Verily he who comes to his Lord as a sinner (at judgment)― for him is Hell: therein shall he neither die nor live. (74) But such as comes to Him as Believers who have worked righteous deeds--for them are ranks exalted― (75) Gardens of Eternity, beneath which flow rivers: they will dwell therein for aye: such is the reward of those who purify themselves (from evil). (76) We sent an inspiration to Moses: "Travel by night with my servants, and strike a dry path for them through the sea, without fear of being overtaken (by Pharaoh) and without (any other) fear." (77) Then Pharaoh pursued them with his forces, but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up. (78) Pharaoh led his people astray instead of leading them aright. (79) O ye Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a Covenant with you on the side of Mount (Sinai) and We sent down to you Manna and quails: (80) (Saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein, lest My Wrath should justly descend on you: and those on whom descends My Wrath do perish indeed! (81) "But without doubt, I am (also) He that forgives again, and again to those who repent, believe, and do right― who, in fine, are ready to receive true guidance." (82) (When Moses was up on the Mount, Allah said:) "What made thee hasten in advance, of thy people, O Moses?" (83) He replied: "Behold, they are close on my footsteps: I hastened to Thee O my Lord to please Thee." (84) (Allah) said: "We have tested thy people in thy absence: the Samiri has led them astray." (85) So Moses returned to his people in state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?" (86) They said: "We broke not the promise to thee, as far as lay in our power: but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (whole) people, and we threw them (into the fire), and that was what the Samiri suggested. (87) "Then he brought out (of the fire) before the (people) the image of a calf: it seemed to low: so they said: `This is your god and the god, of Moses but (Moses) has forgotten!' " (88) Could they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good? (89) Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious: so follow me and obey my command." (90) They had said: "We will not abandon this cult, but we will devote ourselves to it until Moses returns to us. (91) (Moses) said: " O Aaron! what kept thee back, when thou sawest them going wrong (92) "From following me? Didst thou then disobey my order?" (93) (Aaron) replied: "O son of my mother! seize (me not) by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! Truly I feared lest thou shouldst say `Thou hast caused a division among the Children of Israel, and thou didst not respect my word!'" (94) (Moses) said: "What then is thy case O Samiri?" (95) He replied: "I saw what they saw not: so I took a handful (of dust) from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it (into the calf): thus did my soul suggest to me." (96) (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, `Touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: we will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!" (97) But the God of you all is the Allah: there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge. (98) Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence. (99) If any do turn away therefrom, verily they will bear a burden on the Day of Judgement; (100) They will abide in this (state): and grievous will the burden be to them on that Day― (101) The Day when the Trumpet will be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful,― blear-eyed (with terror) (102) In whispers will they consult each other: "Ye tarried not longer than ten (Days)"; (103) We know best what they will say, when their leader most eminent in Conduct will say: "Ye tarried not longer than a day!" (104) They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;" (105) "He will leave them as plains smooth and level;" (106) Nothing crooked or curved wilt thou see in their place." (107) On that Day will they follow the Caller (straight): no crookedness (can they show) him: all sounds shall humble themselves in the presence of (Allah) Most Gracious: nothing shalt thou hear but the tramp of their feet (as they march). (108) On that Day shall no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by (Allah) Most Gracious and whose word is acceptable to Him. (109) He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it with their knowledge. (110) (All) faces shall be humbled before (Him)― the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal: hopeless indeed will be the man that carries iniquity (on his back). (111) But he who works deeds of righteousness, and has faith, will have no fear of harm nor of any curtailment (of what is his due). (112) Thus have we sent this down― Arabic Qur'an and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him). (113) High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say "O my Lord! increase me in knowledge." (114) We had already beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve. (115) When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam" they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused. (116) Then We said: "O Adam! verily, this is an enemy to thee and thy wife: so let him not get you both out of the Garden so that thou art landed in misery. (117) "There is therein (enough provision) for thee not to go hungry nor to go naked" (118) "Nor to suffer from thirst nor from the sun's heat." (119) But Satan whispered evil to him: he said "O Adam! shall I lead thee to Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?" (120) In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced. (121) But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him guidance. (122) He said: "Get ye down both of you― all together from the Garden, with enmity one to another; but if, as is sure there comes to you guidance from Me, whosoever follows My guidance, will not lose his way nor fall into misery. (123) "But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment." (124) He will say: "O my Lord! why hast thou, raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?" (125) (Allah) will say: "Thus didst thou, when Our Signs came unto thee, disregard them: so wilt thou, this day be disregarded. (126) And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring. (127) It is not a warning to such men (to call to mind) how many generations before them We destroyed, in whose haunts they (now) move? Verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. (128) Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (their punishment) must necessarily have come; but there is a term appointed (for respite). (129) Therefore be patient with what they say and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy. (130) Nor strain thine eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to parties of them the splendour of the life of this world, through which We test them: but the provision of thy Lord is better and more enduring. (131) Enjoin prayer on thy people, and be constant therein. We ask thee not to provide sustenance: We provide it for thee. But the (fruit of) the Hereafter is for Righteousness. (132) They say: "Why does he not bring us a Sign from His Lord?" Has not a clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation? (133) And if We had inflicted on them a Penalty before this, they would have said: "Our Lord! if only Thou hadst sent us an messenger, we should certainly have followed thy Signs before we were humbled and put to shame." (134) Say: "Each one (of us) is waiting: wait ye, therefore, and soon shall ye know who it is that is on the straight and even way, and who it is that has received guidance." (135)

(49) He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further gave (it) guidance." (50) (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" (51) He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets (52) "He Who has made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced divers pairs of plants each separate from the others.
